Multi Awards Success for care at home provider.

Caremark are delighted to share that three care providers across varying categories and geographical areas have gained the ultimate recognition at the Great British Care Awards 2021.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout England and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. The regional winners then go onto be considered for the national awards.

The Gala evening was held at The International Convention Centre located in Birmingham City Centre on Saturday 25th September 2021. The Caremark National Award Winners, who were joined by various colleagues and members of the Head Office Team, the winners consisted of:

Maria Gomez (pictured below) from Caremark (Worcester & Malvern Hills) won the award in the category of: ‘Care Coordinator’. The Great British Care Awards enthused: “Maria is a highly motivated extraordinary person who is customer focused, knows what her role is and how this impacts on staff, service users and the business. She is incredibly hardworking and went above and beyond in extremely challenging circumstances. A real star!”

Sally Sullivan (pictured below) from Caremark (Mid Sussex & Crawley) found herself the recipient of the award in the category of: ‘Home Care Worker' and the Great British Care Awards had this to say: “Sally is an inspiration and we were very emotional. Having made the decision to spend Christmas with a client who has Covid rather than with her family demonstrated her dedication to the people she supports.”

Simon Rowland (pictured below) from Caremark (Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Malling) won, for the second time, in the category of: ‘Best Home Care Registered Manager.’ The Great British Care Awards said this about him: “The self-sacrifice that Simon has made to ensure his customers and their family are safe is truly outstanding. He isolated for a 12 month period from his family only having contact by Zoom, truly going above and beyond for his community. For Simon, caring is more than just a job, it is his passion.”

In addition to these winners, Nicole Woodbridge (Pictured below) from Caremark (Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire) was a finalist in the ‘Newcomer’ Category and although was not successful on the evening, should be highly commended for reaching the national finals.

The Awards were presented by reality TV Star Mark Wright and were followed with a night of entertainment and celebration. Pictured below, National Operations Manager Harinder Dhami and Caremark (Worcester & Malvern Hills) Managing Director David Balmer, toasting the win.
