With a drive for success and a passion for his local community, Sukhvir has achieved significant milestones in both business growth and local impact.

Sukhvir’s decision to pursue a franchise model was driven by a desire for guidance in an industry he was new to. “My lack of experience in this sector meant I needed support, but I knew my work ethic, combined with the right franchise, would lead to success,” says Sukhvir. “I chose Caremark because of the strong communication I built with the franchise support team, the competitive management fee, and the opportunity to operate in Greenwich—the area I know and love.”

In just a year, Caremark Greenwich’s efforts have been recognised, with Sukhvir being named a finalist for the prestigious Caremark’s Rising Star Award and Regional Award. These nominations are a testament to his commitment to growth and his passion for the care sector. “Being nominated is an amazing feeling, but it’s only the beginning,” says Sukhvir. “It pushes me to keep growing and continue to strive for more. I’m driven by competition and the desire to be the best in the business.”
Managing Success with Smart Decisions
As a chartered accountant, Sukhvir brings a strong financial perspective to his business, ensuring that growth is sustainable. “Cash is king,” he says, emphasising the importance of managing resources effectively. “Growth is important, but it must make financial sense. That means watching your margins and setting realistic financial goals.”
Sukhvir works closely with his Regional Support Manager, Dario Carabba, to establish SMART goals that keep the business on track. “We aim for steady growth, month on month, but we always keep our financial health in check,” he adds.
Lessons Learned Along the Way
Like many entrepreneurs, Sukhvir faced challenges in his first year. A significant delay with CQC (Care Quality Commission) registration created uncertainty, but he turned this into an opportunity to engage more deeply with the local community. Staffing also presented a challenge. “I didn’t fully understand the commitment and the challenges of managing staff until I experienced it firsthand,” Sukhvir admits. “and I’m happy that I’m on Caremark’s leadership program to continue growing as a leader and to learn how to navigate these challenges effectively.”
Plans for Growth and Expansion
Looking ahead, Sukhvir’s focus remains on growth. “In year two, we’re aiming for continued net growth, with an emphasis on building a strong team and further engaging with the community,” he says. Expanding the business into new territories is on the horizon once the Greenwich operation is fully stabilised. “There’s so much potential in this business, and I’m excited for what’s to come,” he adds.
