Meet our Franchise Owners in Cheshire South East and Bath

As the new franchise owner induction has just concluded, we extend a warm welcome to the latest additions to the Caremark franchise network: Johnny Stevens and Paul Rodgers. Both individuals have fascinating backgrounds and are eager to embark on their journeys with Caremark.
Paul Rodgers

Paul comes from a diverse background in operations, hospitality, retail, and catering. After filling various roles across the UK, he decided at the end of last year that he wanted to pursue something entirely different. Consequently, he spent about three to four months researching franchising opportunities. The more he learned, the more excited he became about the possibilities.
Upon discovering the home care sector, Paul felt it would be the perfect fit for him. Having previously managed large teams, he received consistent praise for his leadership skills. His outgoing personality is a key transferable skill that he plans to leverage at Caremark.
So Why Caremark?
In his research, Paul initially focused on the typical processes of understanding investment fees, potential growth, and operational calls. However, what set Caremark apart was the extensive support and investment provided compared to other franchise opportunities. This comprehensive support made him feel confident in embarking on his business journey.
What Did Paul Think of the Induction?
Having attended numerous training courses in the past, Paul described Caremark’s induction training as “completely new.” He found it to be detailed and informative, noting that the diverse backgrounds of everyone in the room enriched the experience. He appreciated that employees at Caremark also undergo the franchise owner induction, which he believes reflects an understanding of the business and a commitment to acting in the franchise owners’ best interests.
Additionally, Paul enjoys face-to-face interactions and found the week to be pleasant, as he got to know the entire team at the franchise support centre. He feels confident that the available support will be more than sufficient. While he acknowledges that challenges may arise, he appreciates the robust support network in place.
“I can’t imagine other care businesses offering this level of support and marketing initiatives. For instance, I was really impressed with the marketing tool available for franchise owners, Rightmarket. Having design templates ready makes it so much easier to insert messages and print materials.”
What Are His Thoughts on the Franchise Support Centre?
Paul finds the environment at the support centre to be friendly and engaging. He noted that when he visits the office, he is greeted with genuine interest in his well-being, allowing for meaningful conversations. The atmosphere is open and relaxed, which he finds refreshing compared to his previous experiences in more formal settings. He was also surprised by the size of the office. Having previously worked as an operations manager for a large franchise with a significantly smaller head office, he recognises Caremark’s commitment to investing in its growth.
What Will Be the Biggest Reward of Running a Caremark Franchise?
Paul believes that delivering high standards of care while ensuring the team is engaged and satisfied will be his most significant reward. He acknowledges that it is impossible to please everyone but aspires to create a positive experience for as many people as possible.
Jonny Stevens

Jonny’s background is rooted in entrepreneurship; he owns a PR agency in London and understands what it takes to run a business. Recently, Jonny felt compelled to take his career one step further by entering the care sector.
Why Care?
With the rise of artificial intelligence, it is clear that most jobs will eventually be affected by it, including those in public relations. Jonny sought to invest in a business with sustainable growth potential. There is a constant demand for care services as the population ages and the public healthcare system increasingly relies on private agencies for support. He believes that investing in the care sector will not only be lucrative but also personally rewarding, providing him with an opportunity to positively impact the community.
What Did Jonny Think of the Induction?
Johnny found the franchise owner induction to be extremely helpful and well-structured. He noted that many of his questions were answered, and it became clear to him how he needed to move forward in his business.
What Does Jonny Think of the Franchise Support Centre?
He perceives the environment at the support centre as very supportive and stimulating. Jonny expressed that he has learned a great deal over the past week and looks forward to applying this knowledge in practice. The support system truly stood out to him; recently, he faced several IT-related queries, and he found comfort in knowing that a dedicated IT manager is available to assist with any issues.
What Will Be the Biggest Reward of Running a Caremark Franchise?
Jonny believes the most rewarding aspect will be his ability to serve the Bath community, a place he holds dear. “In Bath, everyone knows each other, and I can’t wait to serve the people I know and see them smile,” he remarked.
