We know our onions!

The Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield management team have been busy getting ready for our Yorkshire Day at our Allotment this week, we have been doing some preparation work on the ground to make sure it’s ready for the busy day next week.

We have been to cut the grass, pulled the weeds, tidied around and we have picked out our produce that our lovely clients planted themselves back in March and April, and just look at the number of Onions and shallots we have!!!!!!

Our aim when we started the allotment project was for clients to be enabled to access a safe, secure and accessible environment where they could be supported to achieve their goals and outcomes, whilst also being supported to promote and develop essential life skills, which we feel we have definitely achieved this summer! We can’t believe how successful the onion grow was, we have that many, our plan is to bag them up and distribute them to our staff and clients next week when we have our event on Tuesday.
