Mark McKenning
Operations Director
Mark opened his first Caremark franchise in Barnsley in 2011.
Creating a community care service that delivered the highest standards of care possible, in order to improve the quality of life for individuals who choose to live an ordinary life at home and in their community, enjoying everyday activities.
Having developed this service to be one of the lead providers in the area, Mark exit the Barnsley organisation in June 2019 to concentrate further on the Rotherham & Sheffield service’s which opened in 2016, supporting people with complex health conditions, to enable them to live a full and active ordinary life in their own community and home.
Our service works with individuals, Case Managers, Solicitors, CCG’s, Local Authorities and family members to provide a custom and bespoke service to the customers we support. Our service provides clinical support to customers who have tracheostomy, vent, PEG needs, led by our Clinical Lead Nurse.
Our service has a proven track record of supporting a wide range of short and long term complex care conditions and a reputation for delivering excellence across all aspects of case management. The organisations ethos is ‘if we can find a way to provide safe and effective support, then we will do so’.
We have experience in developing, mobilising and implementing large-scale, managed service care provisions.
We are delighted to have established our service further supporting children and young adults across Rotherham & Sheffield with our knowledgeable complex care team. We remain committed to further develop our service, providing choice and control for the people we support.
Sharon Callan
Finance Director
Sharon joined the Caremark Team back in 2011 as one of our very first Care & Support Worker’s, she made an immediate impact with her Clients and colleagues alike, she proved herself to be reliable, intelligent and caring. Shortly after, Sharon was promoted into our first Care Coordinator role, she has a tremendous eye for detail and has an expert understanding of our operating platform and our organisations processes. Sharon had so much knowledge around Caremark systems, and her experience enabled her to progress again into a Finance Administrator role joining our Finance team, she now leads on financial and payroll matters. Sharon is based at our Rotherham office and has full finance responsibilities across the Rotherham and Sheffield services.
In October 2021, after 10 years of hard work, dedication, loyalty, and determination, Sharon has now been appointed as our Finance Director – “I was ready to accept a new challenge and have now settled into my new role which I thoroughly enjoy. Everyone has supported me and I am still learning along the way and I look forward to many more years at Caremark” – Sharon
Diane Taylor
Complex Care Manager
Diane joined our Complex care team as Care Manager in 2017- and subsequently became registered with the CQC for our Complex service.
Our Complex service provides support to children, young people and adults, who choose to remain living in their own home- supporting individuals with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, mental health needs, ABI, tracheostomy & PEG care and spinal injuries.
Diane has been involved in care since 1997, when she started her career with Sheffield City Council, more recently she managed a large support team who provided support to people with learning disabilities within Sheffield.
Diane’s main responsibilities are to ensure the safe and compliant service delivery to people and to effectively lead, guide and nurture our management team and Support Worker’s who provide consistent support to our customers, helping them to achieve their goals and outcomes.
Terri Wall
Operations Officer
Terri holds the position of Operations Officer within our organisation, this is a key role and includes strategies, finance, training and compliance. Terri has worked in our team for 11 years and has a tremendous understanding of our customer base and the exceptional work our staff undertake.
Terri joined Caremark in 2013, starting off with the organisation at the Barnsley service which was domiciliary based supporting the elderly and Client’s living with Dementia. Terri has completed several different higher education qualifications during her time with Caremark including, Level 2 Team Leading, Level 3 and Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care and Terri was also the ‘Dementia Champion’ enabling her to teach Dementia Friends Sessions to our Care and Support Workers.
In 2019, Terri moved across to the Complex Care Service in Rotherham & Sheffield and since has worked closely with our Care Manager, Case Leaders and Clinical Lead to build up a great knowledge of our customers needs and all elements of the service. Terri has also built some great close professional working relationships with the Local Authority Teams in Rotherham and Sheffield including the Children’s with Disabilities Teams.
Terri lives and breathes Caremark and knows the service like the back of her hand- enabling her to successfully pass on her Caremark knowledge to newer members of the team.
Jade Gibson
Welfare and Wellbeing Officer
Jade Gibson is our Caremark Welfare Officer. Jade joined our Caremark family in 2016, working for our Barnsley branch before moving over to our Rotherham & Sheffield branch in January 2020. This move enabled her to develop her knowledge to support customers who have complex and sometimes clinical conditions- working closely with our staff, management team, our customers’ circles of support and professionals on a daily basis.
Jade understands the often complex dynamic and nature of the support we provide and the importance of clear and consistent communication, between all parties.
We value our Support Workers and believe in guiding and supporting our team and Clients to be the very best they can be- we feel the new role of Welfare Officer will help us continue to enable positive progress.
Jade will be in regular contact with our Clients and Support Workers to offer advice, support and guidance, whilst also getting involved with our new Care Staff getting on board with our organization throughout their; recruitment journey, initial training, starting work and building on their professional development. Alongside Jade, our staff and customers will continue to feel and see the support in the community from our Senior Support Worker (Chloe), our Case Leaders (Kirsty, Lydia & Sophie) and our Clinical Lead (Louise & Charlotte). Jade has great energy and positivity, she is a she understands and embraces our philosophy.
Louise Henry
Clinical Lead
We are so excited to welcome Louise Henry to our Caremark Rotherham and Sheffield Team, Louise has joined as our Clinical Lead. Louise previously worked in the ICU at Sheffield Children’s Hospital for almost 5 years, she has extensive experience in all clinical aspects of paediatric care, including tracheostomy, PEG, PEJ, vent, suction, epilepsy and much more.
Louise said … ‘I decided to come and work for Caremark to focus my nursing skills on helping children and families in the community, to support them in living fulfilling lives with the support of their carers. I really enjoy training carers in new clinical skills, and seeing them grow in confidence in caring for our customers.
I enjoy working for Caremark because I get to work alongside and train such kind, dedicated and compassionate carers, as well as get to know all our wonderful customers and their families.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends, I enjoy reading, watching films and eating good food!’
We are looking forward to Louise being a key part of our management team, she will be working closely with our Case Leaders and our Registered Care Manager to ensure that the service we provide to our customers is person centered and specific to each of them.
Charlotte Rowney
Clinical Lead
Charlotte is our Clinical Lead- she has an excellent Nursing background having worked at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital as a paediatric Nurse before joining our organisation.
Charlotte studied for her first degree in Environmental Biology at Nottingham university, she enjoyed the course but shortly after graduating she realised that she wanted a career which would challenge her but also be rewarding. Charlotte has always been very social, and loves being around people so she decided that she would apply to become a paediatric nurse at Sheffield Hallam university.
During training, Charlotte worked across several sites including Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Barnsley Hospital and Rotherham Hospital where she met some incredible professionals and built solid working relationships with professionals across the NHS. After she qualified, Charlotte began working at the Sheffield Children’s hospital working across ICU, HDU and the general medical ward. This gave her extensive experience working with children and young adults who had a variety of needs including tracheostomies, gastrostomies and ventilation.
‘I initially applied for a job at Caremark to gain some experience working within the community and to develop my teaching skills, I never thought I was walking into my dream job. Being part of the Caremark family is incredible, I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work with such experienced, dedicated and caring individuals who inspire me every day. Being the Clinical Lead at Caremark Rotherham and Sheffield is never boring, whether that’s delivering clinical training, supporting with care or getting stuck in with all the important things such as bowling, football, mocktails and shopping!’
Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her dogs Maggie and Eric. She is a massive bookworm, and she loves fashion and shopping.
Charlotte is a key member of our management team, she works closely with our Registered Care Manager and also with our Case Leaders to ensure the care and support we provide is tailored to meet our Clients’ clinical needs, helping them achieve their outcomes and goals and ensuring our staff are well trained and competent in their practice.
Lizzie De Couto
Clinical Lead
We would like to introduce to you our new full time Clinical Lead, Lizzie.
Lizzie has been a part of our team for a few weeks now and entering into her third week at Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield, we thought it the perfect time to tell you more about Lizzie’s nursing background.
Lizzie joined the ICU and HDU at Sheffield Children’s Hospital 6 years ago. She has a vast array of skills and knowledge in different areas; planning, assessing and first hand caring for children and their families. For the last year, Lizzie has been a senior staff nurse which involved managing a team, attending emergencies and being a role model for colleagues and students. Lizzie has extensive clinical experience in all aspects of paediatric care, including epilepsy, tracheostomies, gastrostomy and jejunotomy tubes, coupled with suction, ventilator support and much more.
Lizzie has a strong passion for enhancing children’s health and wellbeing and is so proud to be a paediatric nurse. Lizzie said about working for Caremark…
‘I decided to come and work for Caremark to gain experience in a different field of nursing and direct my clinical skills onto helping children and families in the community. I am excited to be part of a wonderful team and be at the forefront of providing training, support, and guidance to the fantastically dedicated Support Workers. I am looking forward to meeting the clients and their amazing families, and to become fully involved in supporting them to lead a fulfilling and happy life. One of the main reasons I joined Caremark was because I recognised the opportunity to utilise my skills and employ my clinical expertise to teach and educate others, paired with empowering clientss to achieve their own independence, and make safe, informed decisions with the consideration of their health, family, and lifestyle. I am confident that I will thoroughly enjoy working at Caremark, as I already feel so fortunate to work with compassionate, experienced, and truly inspirational people every day.’
In her spare time, Lizzie enjoys seeing her close family and friends, going on long walks in the countryside and finding the best places to eat. Lizzie dances and plays the piano which she has done from a young age and has always had a passion for music. Recently, she has been enjoying colouring and craft activities which she finds incredibly therapeutic and relaxing!

Donna Brearley
Coordination & Compliance Officer
Donna started working in care in 1991 as a care worker doing domiciliary care with the elderly. In 2004 Donna was given the opportunity to become a Care Co-ordinator and has done the role since then. Donna has undertaken several opportunities throughout her years as a Care Coordinator and holds her Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
In April 2021 Donna joined Caremark as the Coordination and Compliance Officer. A main part of Donna’s role is to manage the rota system for our Client’s and Staff, ensuring that continuity of care is always applied and enabling a work life balance for all our Support Workers. The Compliance part of Donna’s role is just as important, ensuring compliance is up to date across the whole service.
‘I enjoy my role with Caremark learning about the children and young adults that we support. It is different to looking after the elderly. Caremark is a nice company to work for and I enjoy coming to work. I feel a valued member of the team.’
In her spare time, Donna likes to spend time with her husband, dogs, and adult children. She also likes to go away both abroad and in the UK, spending quality time with her family and friends.
Donna’s role within our service is vital, she is an experienced Care Coordinator in her own right, and we are proud to have her as part of our team.
Louise Clarke
Assessment & Recruitment Officer
Louise has worked in care since the age of 16 gaining experience within elderly and young physical disabled care in residential settings. Louise then started Nurse Training in 2004 but soon decided she would prefer to progress in social care rather than Nursing/Hospital settings. She then went on to work in the NHS as a palliative HCSW at Bassetlaw hospice and then as a rehabilitation assistant in the community before having a short break to raise her family.
After Louise had her 2 children, she then went back into residential care and progressed into management, working as a shift leader for Rotherham council on a 30 bedded EMI unit. Duties included managing the shift and care staff, undertaking care planning, risk assessing, staff supervisions, liaising with and following instruction from GP’s and other health care professionals.
After working long hours and weekends, Louise decided to look for a role where she had more of a work/life balance and started her role in April 2021 as the Assessment and Recruitment Officer role at Caremark. Louise enjoys learning about the children we support and writing unique and individual care and support agreements. The recruitment side of role can be very rewarding at times, meeting, and finding out about different people and their experiences.
Since working for Caremark Louise can now spend a lot of her time with her two sons and their Dad attending their football matches and cheering them on! She also enjoys spending time going out as a family and socialising with friends.
Louise is a very valued key member of the team, and we value her input every day.
Kirsty Vickers
Case Leader
Kirsty is an experienced and qualified health care practitioner, her role in our organisation is that of Case Leader. Kirsty joined Caremark as a Support Worker and delivered exceptional care to her customers, after several years as a Support Worker, Kirsty decided to take the next step in her career and was successful to be our next Case Leader in 2019.
Since becoming a Case Leader, Kirsty has completed several further education courses including managing medication, behaviours that challenge and is also working towards her Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Kirsty is also our Team Teach Champion and is responsible for delivering the ‘Behaviours that Challenge’ Training to our new Support Workers. Kirsty is also highly clinically trained and is totally confident in using clinical equipment such as ventilators, cough assist, humidifiers and is trained to work with all our customers who have Tracheostomies, suction, and PEG Feeding.
Kirsty has credible experience of working with Clinical Lead Nurses within both Rotherham & Sheffield ICB and has also worked very closely with Case Managed Services too. We have many success stories of supporting customers who have ongoing court cases which Kirsty has been pivotal to the support involved.
Kirsty leads a team of our Support Workers and has a defined customer group which she has an extensive knowledge of our customer’s care needs and requirements together with their aspirations and goals. Kirsty lives and breathes for her customers and absolutely embodies care excellence- she is incredible, we are very lucky to have her in our team.
Sophie Vickers
Case Leader
Sophie joined us in July 2019, being her first role within the care industry. Sophie didn’t really know what to expect and was pretty nervous to start with, however, it was clear that after just a few weeks this was the perfect position for her! Sophie has continuously shown that she is hardworking, dedicated, committed, intelligent and most of all, caring, towards her regular customer’s.
Recently, we had an opportunity arise for a Case Leader position within our organization, which Sophie showed interest in. After several meetings with our Care Manager and our Director, the decision was for Sophie to begin her ‘pathway’ of her career progression and was promoted to our ‘Senior Support Worker’ role. Sophie has lots of positive energy which she puts 100% into her role every single day. After 6 months, Sophie progressed through our promotional pathway into the very important role of a ‘Case Leader’.
Sophie works alongside Case Leaders Kirsty & Lydia conducting Spot Checks, Observations and guiding our brilliant Support Workers where required. Sophie also visits Client’s to conduct Quality Assurance checks and Care and Support Review’s.
In her spare time, Sophie loves to spend time with her family, she stays active where she can by playing for her local football team which she really enjoys.
We are looking forward to Sophie’s continued progression within Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield and can’t wait to see where this pathway takes her.
Lydia Longshaw
Case Leader
Lydia joins the Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield team with a wealth of knowledge of the care industry. Having worked within a busy supported living care business for 6 years working with children and young adults with learning disabilities, and a residential care home for 7 years before that, Lydia was ready for a new challenge within the complex care industry.
Lydia’s experience involves completing initial client needs assessments, writing comprehensive client care plans, managing a large number of client and staff Rota’s together with holiday management, visiting clients to complete quality checks and monitoring staff within the community. Lydia joins our team in a very similar role, working closely alongside our existing Case Leaders and Clinical Lead to ensure a quality service is delivered to our complex and clinical client base.
Lydia said ‘I wanted to join the Caremark team to gain more knowledge and experience developing my skills with children and young adults with more clinical needs. Since joining Caremark in July 2023, I have enjoyed getting to know the wonderful clients that we provide support to, the staff team have been great at welcoming me into the team and everyone brings such a happy and positive experience to my time here. I am looking forward to getting to know more clients and using my knowledge and experience to provide a great service to them every day.’
We are delighted at Lydia’s appointment within our organisation, and we are looking forward to her leading and guiding our team of Clinical and Behavioural Support Workers to be the best that they can be.
Lydia has recently completed a ‘Train the Trainer’ Course in Crisis Prevention, alongside our Case Leader Kirsty Vickers. This training course, provided by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), covers everything from de-escalation techniques, to triggers and behaviours, to completing safe holds when absolutely necessary. This training is now delivered to our Support Worker Team as part of their training package joining our organisation.
Trevor Ravenscroft
Independent Resolution Officer
We’re delighted to welcome Trevor Ravenscroft to our team. Trevor joins us as our accredited Independent Resolution Officer, we feel that his extensive customer service background will be invaluable to our organisation. We are committed to learning and always pushing to evolve our service to benefit our customers and staff alike.
Trevor’s role will continue to evolve our organisation’s learning and development, ensuring we identify any good or bad trends within our service and more so ensure that we have addressed any areas that need focus and the actions taken have improved the service.

Jack Mckenning
Administration Support Officer
We are excited to welcome Jack McKenning to our Caremark Rotherham and Sheffield Team, Jack joins as our Administration Support Officer. Jack will be working alongside our Office team, supporting with communication and administration tasks within the Office environment.
Jack brings with him his extensive experience within the customer service sector and has some fantastic skills include interacting with members of the public on a regular basis. Jack is polite, friendly and approachable, and we are delighted with him joining our organisation and seeing him develop with our management team.
Bryony Coram
Health and Safety Advisor
We have been working with Bryony for almost 10 years, she has provided us with specific customer guidance in relation to risk management, risk assessment training for our management team and regularly reviews our Health & Safety policy to ensure we continue to remain compliant with our H&S commitments and legislation. Bryony has supported us with person centred risk assessment management plans such as, oxygen within the home, supporting with horses and at stables, hydrotherapy pool within the home, and many more.
