The Great British Care Awards shines a light on outstanding social care. From Home Care Worker, Care Team, Dementia and Palliative Care, it recognises quality, dignity, safeguarding, teamwork, leadership and clear outcomes for customers and families. Becoming a finalist at the Great British Care Awards is a mark of consistent professionalism and kindness across the sector.
This recognition aligns with our mission to be known for providing outstanding home care services throughout North Hertfordshire and Stevenage. It shows how we pair heart with high standards, and why families trust us to help their loved ones live well at home. We are proud to be featured in the Great British Care Awards and to be part of the awards community that celebrates best practice and raises the bar across home care. As many know, the GB Care Awards often referred to as the Great British Care Awards highlight excellence nationally, and we are honoured to be included in the GB Care Awards spotlight.
Meet our Five Finalists
- Care Employer Award: Dapo Shonola, Managing Director
Under Dapo’s leadership, our organisation stands head and shoulders above others. Clients enjoy high-quality health outcomes and benefit from a highly motivated team with low staff turnover. Caremark North Herts & Stevenage consistently receives a rating of 5 stars by customers and staff. - Frontline Leader Award: Jamie-Lee Leroux, Field Care Supervisor. Jamie-Lee earned the respect of managers, clients, colleagues and healthcare professionals time and again. Nothing is too much for her, she finds a way through the darkest of challenges. She has elevated the standards of training, ensuring people we support receive the best homecare possible.
- Dignity in Care Award: Rosebud Egbulonu, Care Assistant.
Rosebud led a team that delivers outstanding care outcomes for one of the most complex care needs we have seen. She found ways to communicate when it seemed impossible. She has rightfully earned the respect of her managers, colleagues and families of people she supports. - Home Care Worker Award: Edna Aminam, Live-in Carer.
Edna built a community for her live in care customer, keeping all the ageing neighbours connected and supported within a remote North Hertfordshire village. She has endless warmth and love for everyone she meets. She regularly goes above and beyond to keep up with hobbies and she learned to cook all their favourite foods too. - Home Care Worker Award: Kola Borokini, Care Assistant Kola has a unique ability to break down barriers getting customers of their shell to live fuller, independent lives. He takes personal interest in customer’s hobbies and drives his own learning. A true hero of care.
The winners will be announced on the night of October 30th at the Regional Finalists Gala Dinner in Milton Keynes.
