Caremark is a double finalist at the British Franchise Awards

Caremark has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s BFA HSBC British Franchise Awards:
- Franchisor of the Year
- Leadership and Culture.
As we step into our 20th year of helping people live well at home, this award recognises how we support franchise owners to grow with confidence.
What makes these finals special
Often described as the benchmark for ethical franchising in the UK, the British Franchise Awards recognise brands with strong systems, values you can feel in every office, and results that stand up across different locations. Finalists are selected on evidence.
Being a finalist evidences that a franchisor does the right things well and keeps improving. For us, that means two things working together day in, day out:
- A clear culture where people know what we stand for and how we behave
- A support system that gives franchise owners the tools, training and guidance to grow with confidence
Finalist for Franchisor of the Year
This category looks for ethical franchising, robust infrastructure and proof that franchise owners can succeed across the full lifecycle.
What we’ve improved in the last 12 to 18 months
- A strong support ratio with around 40 Franchise Support Centre (FSC) specialists for just over 100 franchise owners, bringing expertise in quality, regional field support, marketing, data and rostering, finance, IT and talent
- A thorough onboarding pathway from an 8-day induction and Care Manager training to a mentor owner and our High-Performance Leaders programme
- A National Marketing Fund that delivers launch PR, local digital campaigns and shared content
- Practical recruitment improvements with an applicant tracking system and people initiatives that help attract and keep good teams
- Measurable network results, including strong year-on-year revenue growth and more owners confident enough to acquire additional territories
Finalist for Leadership and Culture
This category is about how you invest in people and the impact that has on performance and engagement.
What we do and what it changes
- Our FSC co-created its own set of internal values, which now guide how we hire, develop and recognise people
- Every employee has a personal development budget, plus access to external programmes and professional memberships, so skills keep pace with the sector
- A work environment built for wellbeing and performance with flexible working, private medical cover, and volunteering days
- High retention at the FSC, meaning knowledge stays in the business and support for franchise owners stays personal and consistent
- Communication at scale through our network app so care assistants, office teams and support centre colleagues can learn, share and stay aligned
The award finals will take place on the 6th of November. We look forward to celebrating with the other finalists.
If you are exploring a franchise business in the UK and want clear values, hands-on support and a network that shares what works, we would love to talk.
