Although the season was challenging, it provided a strong foundation for the team to grow. The club was founded in 1950 and originally had its roots in Stoke Aldermoor, where it was based at the old Community Centre and played on the field near Allard Way. During the early 1990s, Pinley RFC moved to its current home at Wyken Croft, known locally as “The Croft”, where it has continued to grow as a family-focused community rugby club.
Today, Pinley RFC offers rugby across a wide range of sections, including senior men, senior women, veterans, boys, girls and mixed mini age groups. England Rugby lists Pinley RFC as providing rugby for 1st XV Men, 2nd XV Men, Veterans Men, 1st XV Women and multiple boys’, girls’ and mixed mini teams. The club has always been about more than matches and results. It is a place where people of different ages and backgrounds can come together, learn new skills, build friendships and be part of a supportive community.
Growing Girls’ Rugby at Pinley RFC
