The right ingredients to a role

Kristine Llanto certainly knows how to bring the right ingredients to a role. She hopes to rise to the occasion as our new Recruitment & Marketing Officer.

Kristine built an impressive career as a pastry chef and baker. She worked in five-star hotels, a popular Asian food restaurant (Tattu) and even appeared on television on Bake Off: The Professionals in 2020.

But after years of long and demanding shifts, and with plans to start a family in the future, Kristine felt it was time for a better work/life balance. She decided on a complete career change.

Spearheading our recruitment and marketing efforts

She said: “Up until lockdown I was working 70-hour weeks, about 18 hours a day. Coming back to it just wasn’t the same, and I realised I wanted something that would give me more balance and a future I could build around.”

Now studying for a degree in Health and Social Care, and bringing previous experience supporting children in a specialist school, she has joined Caremark Leeds and Bradford. She will spearhead our recruitment and marketing efforts.

 Kristine adds: “Caremark was the first company to really give me a shot and I’m really thankful.

“I only joined recently but I am really enjoying it.”
