Caremark Team Raises Over £800 in Charity Fundraising Walk

Caremark Solihull team raises over £800 in a 5k charity walk for Alzheimer’s Society, thanks to the generosity of colleagues, families, and our local community. Together we then stepped out to champion dementia awareness and fund vital services for people living with the condition. Your encouragement, donations, and kind words along the route made all the difference.
Why we walked and highlights from the day
We walked to honour customers, their loved ones, as well as colleagues affected by dementia. Supporting Alzheimer’s Society reflects our purpose: helping people live safely, independently, and also with dignity at home.
The 5k route wound through local parks and quiet streets, field supervisors, office team members, and families walking side by side. We set a £500 target and were thrilled when our team raises over £800 in a 5k charity walk for Alzheimer’s Society. Laughter, blue pin badges, hand-made signs, and cheers from passers-by created a joyful atmosphere. The most moving moments included relatives joining for the final stretch and teammates sharing personal reasons for supporting dementia care.
How your support helps
Every pound raised helps fund Alzheimer’s Society’s helpline, dementia advisers, research into earlier diagnosis and better treatments, and community groups that reduce isolation. These services offer practical guidance, reassurance, and connection for people living with dementia and those who care for them.
At Caremark Solihull, we complement this support with person-centred care at home. For example, we can help with:
- Respectful personal care and daily living support
- Medication prompts and wellbeing checks
- Meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration support
- Companionship and meaningful activities
- Safety checks and falls awareness
Combining charitable resources with quality domiciliary care gives each individual a stronger safety net.
