We can only imagine what an honour it must be to attend a royal garden party. And guess what? Nara, a Caremark care assistant, was given the opportunity to witness this incredible event. This was thanks to her Caremark Pulborough team, who selected her out of all care assistant because of how passionate she is for her job and how caring she is towards her customers.

About the royal garden party: Nara’s words

I was absolutely over the moon to attend the Royal Garden Party. It was once in a life time experience. Thank you so much for your nomination. It was so busy first of all. When we arrived at 3pm there was a queue to get security clearance, but luckily some policemen let us in without having to wait. That was lucky! The Buckingham Palace Gardens are magnificent, so beautifully preserved and maintained.

There were 3 big tents, the big one was for the guests and other two were for diplomats and royal family. We were welcomed with military band playing music, people mingling, getting posh afternoon tea which was basically a selection of sandwiches cakes and scones. I later learned there were 8,000 people attending the garden party.

At 4pm the Royal Family appeared after playing the national anthem. Prince and Princess of Wales, Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and other members of the royal family.

Guests stand in several lanes where one member of the royal family coming to each lane and talk to people. We met Princess Kate who walked down our lane. Some people were called out to meet her in person. I went dressed in Mongolian traditional clothes

We had such a great day, it was lovely to talk to other people and learn about their achievements and stories. Thank you once again for nominating me. And thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend the royal garden party! Caremark really cares about their employees and I am proud to represent the company.

Nara also appears on a social media post from the prince!

A picture of Nara was selected for the social media posts of the royal garden party! Quite an achievement considering the vast number of participants who attended the event. She really does stand out from the crowd, especially with her actions.

You can view the post on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram page.

Why was Nara invited to the royal garden party?

Nara was nominated by Caremark for the Royal Garden Party in recognition of her positive impact on the community. As a Caremark care assistant, Nara has helped numerous West Sussex residents maintain their independence and stay in their own homes. Furthermore, she has devoted her free time to raising crucial funds and volunteering for multiple charities. Nara has already completed three marathons and has been volunteering for the Red Cross for a decade, even assisting with crowd control at the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
