A strong foundation for her role in home care

Originally from Punjab, India, Arshdeep brought valuable healthcare experience with her when she moved to the UK. Before coming to England, she spent a year working in a hospital as a healthcare assistant, supporting doctors and helping to care for patients. That experience gave her a strong foundation for her role in home care.

Arshdeep joined Caremark Cheltenham and Gloucester almost a year ago after colleagues recommended us to her.

She says she has found it a welcoming and well-organised place to work and particularly values the team’s understanding of what meaningful care involves.

“Care is not only about support. It is also about having a nice chat with customers and treating them with respect” says Arshdeep.

She has made a lasting impression on her customers

Arshdeep says she enjoys getting to know the people she supports and recognising that every customer is different. Whatever the visit involves, she encourages customers to do as much as they can for themselves and aims to leave them feeling happy, comfortable and respected.

Her positive outlook has made a lasting impression. Customers and colleagues regularly share excellent feedback, and her warmth and enthusiasm make her a valued member of the team.

Arshdeep’s achievements reflect both her experience and the quality of care she provides. She has built on a year of hospital-based healthcare work to develop strong, trusting relationships with customers in their own homes.

Carer of the month

Her commitment to treating each person with dignity, adapting her support to their individual needs and encouraging independence has earned consistently positive feedback from customers and colleagues. In recognition of this outstanding contribution, Arshdeep won Caremark Cheltenham and Gloucester’s Carer of the Month award for August.

“It was lovely to be recognised, that means a lot,” she says.

Outside work, Arshdeep enjoys family time with her husband and their two-year-old son.

Having settled in Gloucestershire, she continues to bring the same energy, kindness and commitment to her customers that have defined her caring career from the beginning.
