We received a lovely letter from the mum of a child with complex needs who wanted to thank us for the “outstanding care, kindness and professionalism” we have shown her family. We are delighted to share the contents of this letter here.
As the mother of a child with very complex needs, I know how challenging it can be to find a care provider that is not only reliable but genuinely caring.
Before Caremark, I worked with different agencies and often experienced last-minute cancellations, uncertainty and constant stress. It was incredibly difficult and had a significant impact on both my family and my own mental health.
Since Caremark became involved, everything has changed.
I wish there were more people like her in care
For the first time in a long time, I feel listened to, respected, and supported. I feel that my family matters. Whenever I need help, my requests are dealt with quickly and efficiently. I never feel like I am facing things alone.
The reliability of your team has lifted a huge weight from my shoulders, especially during the busy and challenging summer holiday period.
I would especially like to recognise Shamie. She is truly exceptional. Whether I contact her by email or text, her responses are incredibly quick, thoughtful, and reassuring. Nothing ever seems too much trouble for her. She treats every concern with kindness and urgency, and her support has made a real difference to my life.
She is organised, approachable, compassionate, and always makes me feel that my family matters. I genuinely wish there were more people like her in health and social care.
The level of trust I have is priceless
I would also like to thank Millie. When Millie is caring for my daughter, I can leave the house knowing she is safe, understood, and cared for with genuine compassion. That level of trust is priceless. She looks after my daughter with such patience, warmth, and dedication. Because of this, I feel as though my daughter is being cared for by a member of our own family. As a mother, there is no greater gift than that peace of mind.
Looking after a child with complex needs can often feel overwhelming, and many parents carry enormous emotional pressure every single day. Having a care team that is dependable, compassionate, and truly committed has made a remarkable difference to my wellbeing.
Your support has not only helped my daughter, but it has also improved my own mental health by reducing the constant worry and uncertainty that I used to experience.
