Caremark NI Memory Café 5th Anniversary

This month, we were delighted to celebrate the Caremark NI Memory Café 5th Anniversary. This marks five wonderful years of friendship, support and community. The Memory Café has become a welcoming place where service users, families and carers socialise, enjoy activities and build friendships. The anniversary celebration gave us the chance to reflect on memories and thank everyone who supports the Memory Café.

A Special Celebration for the Caremark NI Memory Café 5th Anniversary

To mark this milestone, we were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Bangor, Councillor Craig Blaney, and MLA Stephen Dunne. They joined us in celebrating five years of connection, friendship and community support.

The morning was filled with music, laughter and creativity. Geoff Hatt entertained everyone with a fantastic musical performance, with many attendees singing along to familiar favourites. There was plenty of opportunity to get creative, with arts and crafts and plant pot decorating proving a big hit. Everyone enjoyed taking home a beautifully decorated pot and a plant to brighten their day.

Five Years of Friendship and Connection

One of the most rewarding things about the Memory Café is seeing the friendships that have grown over the years. It has become a close-knit community where everyone feels welcomed, valued and supported.

Each month, familiar faces gather to enjoy activities, conversation and companionship. For many attendees, the Memory Café has become an important part of their routine and something they look forward to every month.

Celebrating Some Very Special People

Alongside the anniversary celebrations, we also celebrated two special birthdays. Happy Birthday to Heather and Christopher, who have both attended the Memory Café since it began five years ago. Over the years, their enthusiasm, dedication and support have helped shape the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We would also like to thank Andrew, Kirsty and Marci, who attend monthly and help make mornings enjoyable. Together, their commitment and community spirit help create the friendly environment everyone enjoys.

Looking Ahead After the Caremark NI Memory Café 5th Anniversary

As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our service users, families, carers and staff. The Memory Café simply would not be what it is without the people who attend, volunteer and contribute to making it such a welcoming and supportive environment.

Over the last five years, we have shared countless conversations, activities, celebrations and special moments together. We are proud of everything the Memory Café has achieved and look forward to creating many more memories in the years ahead.

We will be taking a short break over the summer and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Memory Café in September for more friendship, fun and community spirit.

If you or a loved one would like to join us at a future Memory Cafe, please contact Christopher on 028 9146 7004 for more information.
