Sutton Care manager scoops national care award

We are delighted to announce that Daren Kannayya, Care Manager Caremark (Sutton, Epsom and Ewell, Reigate and Banstead) has been named the national Caremark Manager of the Year 2023.

Daren beat off stiff competition from the UK and Ireland to take the award which recognises those managers who go above and beyond in offering excellent person-centred care to all of their customers. Caremark is known for the quality of its care staff, so this award is a huge accolade for Daren and the team.

The award was given to Managing Director Hannah Drury at the annual Caremark conference at Silverstone racecourse in Northamptonshire in January 2023.

Commenting on the award Hannah says: “We weren’t surprised that Daren received this award. He is an outstanding leader in this field. He plays a key role in continuing to push and develop our local offices to be the best there is. He is highly professional and together we have navigated through a number of external challenges during 2022 but through excellent team work we have emerged stronger than ever.

On receiving the award Daren says: “I am so honoured to be recognised in this way. I don’t need awards as I have such a passion for my work and seeing our customers’ lives turned around is all the reward I need. However, it is really nice to hear that people in the industry appreciate the work that I do.”
