Thank staff

The rain didn’t dampen enjoyment of an event organised by Caremark Redcar and Cleveland to thank staff for the work they do to enable people to remain living in their own homes in the area.

Following the overwhelming success of its first family fun day in 2022, this year we staged two days of events to ensure as many people (staff and their family members) as possible could attend.

Whilst the great British summer brought rain on day one, that still didn’t prevent dozens of carers attending with their families and friends to enjoy a range of activities, including fun inflatables, face painting, food, ice cream, and drink.

And the weather improved on day two, meaning even more people came to relax, socialise, and have a good time.

Caremark Redcar and Cleveland Managing Director Michelle Jackson said: “After last year’s event proved so successful, we knew we had to go even bigger this year, so staging the fun day over two days meant even more people could attend.

“Despite the weather, everyone had a great time, and it was fantastic to see so many carers and their families together in one place.

“This forms part of staff appreciation and wellbeing programme, which also includes free mental health counselling, Christmas parties and our carer of the year awards.

“Our staff go above and beyond to support our customers, so this is our little way of thanking them for their hard work and dedication.”
