We Care Wellbeing
As part of our staff appreciation and wellbeing programme, we are pleased to offer people who work for Caremark Redcar and Cleveland access to a new service called We Care Wellbeing.
Support is being provided by experience life coach Sarah Wilson, who runs a company called Coastal Coaching Sussex.
Sarah has been engaged by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, through the Better Care Fund, to support all local care providers and we are the first to take advantage of the service.
Support is provided in various forms, including joining a closed Facebook group where help and advice will be made available, monthly online workshops with a different theme each month, and 1-1 support (by referral). And Sarah will also be delivering group coaching to our full management team.
The service is open to any member of staff and covers a wide range of support including mental wellbeing, help with anxiety, self-esteem, confidence, and sense of identity.
Sarah is the perfect person to lead We Care Wellbeing as she has previous experience of working in homecare, before becoming a professional life coach in 2016. She has had her own mental health struggles and released she could use her own personal experiences to help others.
Sarah says: “It’s all about unpicking the inner story so people can fulfil their potential in their personal and professional lives.
“For example, if you feel down or have low self-esteem, this understandably will have an impact on the service you provide to your customers.
“So by working with staff I will hopefully be able to get to root of any problems and provide the mechanism/insight that will help them manage and ultimately overcome the barriers which may be preventing them from reaching their full potential.”
Initially, if any member of staff would like to become involved in the new-look We Care Wellbeing programme we would ask them to join the Facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/wecarewellbeing
