Caremark Preston hosts First Macmillan Coffee Morning
On Thursday 24th September, Caremark Preston proudly hosted its first ever Macmillan Coffee Morning. Customers, colleagues and members of the local community came together to raise money for an incredibly important cause. Notably, this day marked the first Macmillan Coffee Morning at Caremark Preston for many attendees.
Working in partnership with BIZ Space, where our office is based, the event proved to be a wonderful success, raising over £90 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Throughout the morning, guests enjoyed conversation, laughter and, of course, plenty of delicious homemade cakes and sweet treats, which proved extremely popular with everyone who attended. In fact, everyone was excited to participate in the first Macmillan Coffee Morning at Caremark Preston and support this worthy cause.
About Macmillan Coffee Morning
The Macmillan Coffee Morning is one of the charity’s most recognisable fundraising initiatives, encouraging people across the UK to come together over coffee and cake while raising vital funds to support those living with cancer. Since it began in 1990, the event has grown into a nationwide fundraiser. Today, it helps Macmillan provide practical, emotional and financial support to people affected by cancer.
Bringing Our Community Together
At Caremark Preston, supporting our local community is at the heart of everything we do. We were delighted to welcome several of our customers to the coffee morning. This gave them the opportunity to socialise, enjoy some refreshments and be part of a meaningful community event. The morning created a warm and friendly atmosphere, helping people connect while supporting a charity that has touched the lives of so many families. After all, organising the first Macmillan Coffee Morning at Caremark Preston truly brought our community together.
We also wanted to ensure that customers who could not attend did not miss out on the occasion. As a result, our care team delivered treats and refreshments to some customers in their own homes. This allowed them to join in the celebrations and enjoy a little piece of the coffee morning from the comfort of familiar surroundings.

A special thank you goes to Michelle and Kirsty for their hard work and support in helping to organise the event. Their enthusiasm and commitment helped make the morning a success, and their efforts were greatly appreciated by everyone involved.
Macmillan Cancer Support continues to provide essential services for people living with cancer and their loved ones, with more than 1.6 million people accessing the charity’s support each year. As a result, fundraising events such as the Coffee Morning play a vital role in helping Macmillan continue delivering these services and ensuring nobody has to face cancer alone. Importantly, the first Macmillan Coffee Morning at Caremark Preston highlighted our dedication to supporting this crucial work.
In addition to this, we would also like to extend our thanks to BIZ Space for working alongside us and helping us host the event. Their support contributed greatly to the success of the morning.
