Nutwood Network supports Caremark fundraising for Lister Hospital

When a hospital thrives, the whole community feels it. That’s why we are proud to share that Caremark North Herts and Stevenage has been supported by its business partners at Nutwood Network. The collaboration demonstrates how the Nutwood Network supports Caremark’s fundraising in the local area. As a result, it will continue to support fundraising for East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity and the Children’s Ward at Lister Hospital.

Part of a wider hospital network including Hertford County Hospital and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre Northwood. Businesses at Nutwood Network monthly networking at The Woodman Inn, at Nuthampstead, were keen to support the fundraising. They joined in the Name the Bear, Win the Bear Competition. £1 contribution is all it takes. When the name on the scratchcard is revealed, the bear goes to the person who chose it!

Sharon Stevens, Marketing Manager, Name the Bear, Win the Bear fundraising organiser, has been a long-time member of Nutwood Network. She caught some great photos of business owners and representatives with the Bear. 

Caremark North Herts and Stevenage Fundraising for Rainbow Run 2026

This activity continues to build on the fundraising activities for Rainbow Run 2026, which took place on 28th June 2026. Caremark North Herts and Stevenage helped to raise over £20,000. Staff and business partners all took part in the 5k and 2.5k courses, being showered with vibrant colours. Through supportive initiatives, community members experience first-hand how Nutwood Network supports Caremark’s fundraising objectives year after year.

Other Community Partnerships from Caremark and Nutwood Network

Fundraising for Lister Hospital is not new to The Nutwood Network. Earlier this year Team Nutwood abseiled down Lister Hospital. In 2025, Caremark NH&S supported Nutwood Network with their Christmas Community Lunch and Nutwood Toy Run. The Nutwood Toy Run was a spectacular convoy of Range Rover enthusiasts and bikers delivering toys to Lister Hospital’s Children’s Ward. 
This collaborative spirit reflects the mutual support between Nutwood and Caremark North Herts and Stevenage’s strength of community.

Caremark’s role in leading community and fundraising efforts

As a trusted home care provider, Caremark North Herts and Stevenage coordinates safe, inclusive activities that welcome customers, Care Assistants, families and local businesses. This helps make a positive contribution to the community. There are coffee mornings, games, gift donations, volunteering and more for everyone to build that sense of community. Moreover, these events are designed to support East and North Herts by keeping fundraising local and impactful. There is particular attention to Lister Hospital and other community based health services, including Baldock Town Bowls Club which Caremark North Herts and Stevenage are sponsors.

Looking ahead, Caremark North Herts and Stevenage plans to build on the momentum from the Rainbow Run and future campaigns in East and North Herts. This will be achieved by staying connected to the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity and the community around Lister Hospital.
