Celebrating Pancake Day: Biggest Tosser Competitionbiggest tosser,

As Pancake Day 2026 arrived, our office was filled with laughter as the team took part in a thrilling pancake tossing challenge. This event was to determine our Biggest Tosser! The objective was simple: flip your pancake as many times as possible without dropping it! This spirited competition quickly became the highlight of March. Colleagues cheered each other on. There was plenty of friendly rivalry too. Celebrating Pancake Day with the Biggest Tosser Competition has proven to be one of our most successful pancake day ideas.
Building a Strong Culture of Care
At Caremark North Herts & Stevenage, we recognise that delivering exceptional domiciliary care, senior care, and personalised home support starts with a happy and connected team. Events like our Pancake Day celebration are crucial for boosting morale. They also strengthen bonds and foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported. Moreover, this is part of our ongoing commitment to building a business culture that thrives on teamwork and collaboration.
Our dedicated care assistants tirelessly serve throughout North Hertfordshire, assisting individuals to maintain their independence at home. Taking time to unite, have fun, and celebrate as a team is essential in upholding the high standards of care we pride ourselves on. This is a key component of building a culture of care within our organisation culture.
The event was the idea of Marketing and Community Engagement Manager Sharon Stevens. She wanted Care Assistants to build the an office culture of fun and celebrations. It turned out to be so successful that more fun events were added to the calendar. For example, there was Beer Pong without the beer. We added pyjama day to celebrate World Sleep Day and Odd Socks Day to celebrate Down Syndrome.

Who is Our Biggest Tosser?
Just as the competition seemed decided with Marketing and Community Engagement Manager Sharon Stevens leading with 189 tosses, Managing Director, Dapo Shonola made a surprise entrance and stole the show. He achieved an incredible 236 consecutive pancake tosses. Ultimately, it was the pancake that gave up before he did! Celebrating Pancake Day with the Biggest Tosser Competition truly embodies the spirit of friendly competition and teamwork.
