Celebrating Our Outstanding Care Assistants with a Team Escape Challenge

At Caremark North Herts & Stevenage, we deeply appreciate our care assistants who consistently go above and beyond for those they support. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment make a significant impact every day, and we actively build a culture that celebrates their compassion and hard work. The latest activity is a team-building session for Care Assistants at Agent Brains Escape Games in Letchworth Garden City.
The Importance of Recognition in Healthcare
Acknowledging care staff efforts such as saying thank you to our care assistants, is vital for many reasons. They are often the only people some of our clients see each day, and those clients eagerly look forward to their visits. When healthcare professionals feel appreciated, they remain motivated, engaged, and committed to delivering exceptional care. Care assistants recognition helps reduce burnout and turnover rates, ensuring continuity and stability in patient care.
Effective Employee Recognition
To express our gratitude and practice care assistant appreciation, we recently treated our remarkable team members to an exciting outing at Agent Brains Escape Games in Letchworth. This is just one way we acknowledge care staff efforts. Other ways we celebrate our Care Assistants include awards like carer of the month wins £50, and carer of the year, personalised thank-you notes, gift cards, and professional development opportunities. Each of these awards are tailored to match the preferences and interests of the team or individual, making the recognition truly meaningful.
During our outing, two teams of six engaged in a thrilling challenge, racing against the clock to solve puzzles, uncover clues, and escape before time ran out. The experience was filled with laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition, reinforcing our commitment to team building.

Celebrating Achievements
After a riveting battle of wits, the Jungle Team emerged victorious, congratulations to our winners! Achievements in healthcare can range from successfully implementing new treatment protocols, improving patient satisfaction scores, or enhancing operational efficiencies. Each milestone deserves celebration as it contributes to improved healthcare outcomes through care assistants recognition.
Most importantly, everyone had a fantastic time, and it provided a wonderful opportunity for colleagues to connect, celebrate their achievements, and create lasting memories together. This aligns with our goal of care assistant appreciation and team building.

The 5 C’s in Healthcare
Recognising achievements also aligns with the 5 C’s in healthcare: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, and Courage. These principles guide healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care. When employees embody these values and are recognised for their efforts, it reinforces their importance and encourages continued excellence.
A heartfelt thank you to all our care assistants for the extraordinary work you do every day. We are proud to have such a dedicated and supportive team. Care assistants recognition is a core part of our culture at Caremark North Herts & Stevenage, and events like these demonstrate our commitment to building an inclusive and appreciative work environment.
