Caremark opens its doors in Medway

Business owners, Raspinder and Gursh are excited to announce that they are opening their doors in Medway. After nearly 4 years of providing home care services in Dartford & Gravesham, this husband-and-wife team, have decided to expand into neighbouring Medway, opening Caremark (Medway).

When Raspinder initially set up the Dartford and Gravesham office in 2018, he was motivated by his passion for business and working in a sector that was in line with his own beliefs. “I have always had a passion for business and knew self-employment would suit me best. Having family and friends in the care sector and having heard horror stories from within the care industry, I knew it was a sector I could make a difference in. After speaking to several home care franchisors, I felt that Caremark and its philosophy of treating customers as if they were your own parents, very much resonated with me and I therefore decided to join the network and provide home care services in my hometown of Gravesend and neighbouring town of Dartford.”

Raspinder was employed in the finance industry before and became tired of the bureaucracy and lack of flexibility in the workplace. He therefore wanted to create a workplace where staff had the freedom to work autonomously and were rewarded for their hard work: “This coupled with building a team that feels like they are part of a family and can support one another, have been key to our success.”

Gursh joined the business in September 2021, coming from the Insurance industry, had this to say on joining the business: “I am extremely proud of what Raspinder has achieved and the amazing work that he and the team have been doing in the community. Like Raspinder, I was tired of working for a large corporation and knew I had so much more to offer. I have learned an awful lot in my career so far and we knew that we could achieve so much more together, not just by expanding the business but by continuing to improve the home care services we provide for our customers. I have always been motivated to make a difference and know this will be an extremely rewarding path.”

Since our inception, Caremark (Dartford & Gravesham) has built a reputation we are extremely proud of and are now one of the top care providers in the area. We have developed excellent relationships with the CCG, Social Services and local charities and have become one of their trusted providers, particularly where there are complex packages involved. We are often recommended as a go to provider of home care services, which is testament to the experience we have gained and the reputation we have built. These organisations are delighted to know that we are expanding into Medway and are waiting for our doors to open.

We are so pleased we have been able to create such a positive and supportive work environment and many of our staff who have joined us from other companies are surprised by how much we care as an employer. They always talk about us as a family and are proud of our workplace culture.

Now the business has grown to a level where we feel the time is right to expand into Medway. We want to continue to build on the foundations they have built, providing the best standard of care to as many people as possible. Our focus is on recruiting the right staff and providing the best training to ensure that they can support their customers.

Gursh will be heading up the Medway operation with a newly recruited Care Manager, Kuljit and Field Care Supervisor Abbie, all pictured below.
