Using technology to provide better care

We love technology here at Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield. It doesn’t replace the personal touch, it helps us achieve better outcomes for our customers. 

We use a variety of technology to ensure our service is as safe, efficient and as effective as possible. Our carers want to spend their time caring, they don’t want to be held up with paperwork. They want information, support, guidance, direction and updates at the tip of their fingers.

Our customers too, want their time with their carer to be used to it’s full potential. They want peace of mind that their carers know about any developments in the care plan, medication, or any physical or mental health changes. And they want to know that their data and records are confidentially secure and safe.

And that’s why we use technology called Access Care Planning and Access People Planner. These tools allow us to:

• View and update care plan and medication information in real-time
• List care tasks and monitor their progress live
• Choose the right carer for the right customer
• Allow free access to family and friends to monitor their progress
• Track that all calls are on time and that carers have arrived safely 
• Produce accurate care notes and MAR charts
• Alert the leadership team of any incidents or concerns quickly and effectively 

But it’s also Important that lone workers like Carers feel connected to each other and not isolated. And that’s why we introduced Connecteams. This fantastic app allows us to:

• Message the team members as a group or individually with customer updates in a way which is compliant with GPDR. Keeping customer information safe and secure. 
• Gives carers access to training, policies and procedures at the tip of their fingers.
• Access to out knowledge base of supportive information
• We can gather carer feedback, listen to any challenges or concerns, but more often than not, we hear about their achievements and successes.
