The health and wellbeing of our carers • Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield

At Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield, the health and wellbeing of our Care Assistants is of paramount importance.

We were therefore pleased to team up with Nottinghamshire County Council to host an NHS Carer Health Check at our offices in Sutton in Ashfield on February 28th 2024.

The checks were open to Care Assistants between 40 and 74, as per the eligibility criteria, and we agreed a convenient time for them to attend, with their time being paid for by Caremark.

We had 15 Care Assistants that attended the session over the day.

One person was diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening condition during their check and was immediately taken to hospital.

We are pleased to report that the Care Assistant received the treatment they needed and is now recovering.

This demonstrates the importance of NHS health checks and we would like to thank our Care Assistants, Nottinghamshire County Council and the NHS for their support.
