Our very own singing carer Macey Shaw has struck a winning chord after being named the winner of Homecare’s Got Talent 2026. This national competition celebrates the incredible talents of professionals working across the home care sector.
Macey impressed judges and audiences alike with her exceptional performance. She earned top honours in a competition that showcases the creativity, passion and individuality of care workers from across the UK. Her victory is a proud moment not only for Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield. It is also a proud moment for the wider home care community.
Known by colleagues, clients and their families for her compassion, dedication and positive attitude, Macey embodies the values that sit at the heart of exceptional home care. Moreover, her success in the competition highlights the diverse talents and inspiring personalities that exist beyond the day-to-day responsibilities of caring for others.
Never give up on chasing your dream
Dan Archer, Founder of Homecare’s Got Talent, said Macey was living proof that care workers shouldn’t give up on chasing their own dreams.
“Macey represents everything we’re trying to celebrate. She’s a brilliant young woman working in care who also has enormous talent and ambition. Tonight she showed that you can dedicate yourself to caring for other people without giving up on your own dreams.” he said.
Care assistant Macey, who has worked for three years at Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield, has combined her career caring for others. Meanwhile, she has been pursuing her passion for musical theatre.
It’s about representing carers
Macey said: “Homecare’s Got Talent means far more to me than simply performing. It’s about representing carers and showing that behind the hard work, compassion and dedication we give every day, there are also passions, dreams and talents.”
Macey reached the Grand Final in 2025 but missed out on the title. However, she was selected to join the Homecare’s Got Talent Choir. She joined other care workers to record a charity version of Robbie Williams’ Angels at legendary Abbey Road Studios.
Now she has gone one better, winning the 2026 title, a £1,000 cash prize and holiday for two.
Judges at this year’s event included Eurovision winner Jay Aston of Buck’s Fizz and her husband, rock guitarist Dave Colquhoun. Dave has worked with Brian May, Rick Wakeman, Go West, Belinda Carlisle, Paul Young and Bananarama. They were joined on the celebrity judging panel by The Voice UK star Kuill and radio presenter Becky Measures.
