Caremark’s Chit Chat Chums

The elderly and vulnerable in our community have been hit the hardest by the coronavirus. It has created social isolation and increased anxiety for a number of our customers. Not being able to see loved ones or go out into the community is devastating for them. It saddens us to see the impact that this virus is having on their everyday lives.

Having thought about what we can do to reduce social isolation and promote mental health and wellbeing of our customers and other vulnerable and elderly residents in the community we came up with our new initiative – Caremark’s Chit Chat Chums.

This is a free befriending service to elderly and vulnerable residents in Havering. Our team of ‘Caremark Chums’ will call residents for a ‘Chit Chat’.

Havering Council have congratulated us on our efforts and thanked us for offering such an important service.
