Fake Doctor Treated Patient at Ealing Hospital
Teenager injected substance into mouth of unconscious man
A twenty-year-old woman from Ealing, Kreuena Zdrafkova, pretended to be a doctor and assaulted a patient by administering an unknown substance.
Zdrafkova, a Bulgarian national living on Uxbridge Road, entered Ealing Hospital on 19 April, wearing medical clothing. She was 19 at the time.
According to The Sun, she ‘treated’ a patient who had been arrested. CCTV shows her introducing herself as ‘Dr Christina’ to two officers guarding the prisoner while wearing blue medical gloves.
She injected an unknown substance into the unconscious prisoner’s mouth using a syringe. Although some described her actions as ‘compassionate,’ she was acting out a fantasy and didn’t specifically target the patient.
The officers soon discovered there was no Dr Christina at the hospital and searched for Zdrafkova but failed. Three days later, she returned with a stethoscope, and the police arrested her.
During her trial, Zdrafkova admitted she aspired to become a doctor. In mitigation, the court learned she had married at 14 and had twin daughters aged six, which prevented her from pursuing a medical career. As part of her sentence, she cannot enter any NHS facility unless for emergency treatment.
Zdrafkova pleaded guilty to assault and will serve a 12-month community order, along with 15 days of rehab. She had spent seven weeks in custody prior to sentencing.
