Teenager Killed in Park Royal Car Crash
Vehicle was being chased by police prior to major collision
A seventeen-year-old boy died after a car crash in Park Royal early Monday morning (7 October).
Police say they were pursuing a vehicle on Park Royal Road when it crashed near Central Middlesex Hospital at 5:25am.
The London Ambulance Service responded by sending paramedics, Tactical Response Unit members, and a London Air Ambulance helicopter. The first crew arrived within three minutes.
The crash involved three males, including the deceased, who received treatment at the scene before heading to the hospital. One remains in critical condition, while the third did not suffer serious injuries.
A Met Police spokesperson confirmed that they referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which will investigate the events leading to the crash. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards also received notification.
Police initially set up a large cordon around the crash site, diverting buses to the hospital. Bus services have now returned to normal.
