Smiles on the faces

Theresa Ayoola says one of the best things about being a carer is putting smiles on the faces of her customers.

She has been working at Caremark Doncaster for almost 12 months having come from her native Nigeria on an overseas sponsorship.

Although it took a while acclimatising to the Yorkshire weather, that’s really the only thing Theresa has had to contend with because she is a natural carer.

Two years working in a hospital in Nigeria helped to hone her skills and she has taken to homecare very quickly.

And with several other members of staff from Nigeria, she says Doncaster has become like a home from home – minus the weather of course!

“I enjoy my job,” says Theresa.

“Putting smiles on people’s faces when I visit means everything to me, and all my customers have been lovely and welcoming.

“We have a duty of care to our customers and it’s important we uphold the Caremark brand at all times.”

When she’s not at work, Theresa enjoys spending time with her friend and cooking.
