April 2026 Memory Cafe – A Morning of Support, Music and Connection
Our April Memory Cafe was another lovely, relaxed morning, bringing together service users, families and carers in a warm and welcoming setting. The session included a helpful talk on money safety, followed by music, activities and time to sit and chat together. The Memory Cafe continues to be a space where everyone can feel comfortable and enjoy each other’s company.
A Helpful Talk and Time to Catch Up
We were delighted to welcome Victoria and Siobhan from Ulster Bank, who spoke to the group about money safety and how to avoid scams. It was a really useful session, with information shared in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
They also brought along examples of counterfeit money, showing the difference between real and fake £20 notes and what to look out for. This made the session more interactive and helped bring the advice to life. It was greatly appreciated by everyone who attended.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed tea, coffee and biscuits while catching up. These simple moments to relax and have a chat are a big part of what makes the Memory Cafe so special.
Music, Creativity and Celebrations
The morning continued with a great singalong with our live singer, which brought lots of smiles and laughter to the room. Music always helps create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, and this was no exception.
We also spent some time doing scratch art, with everyone getting involved and enjoying the activity.
We were also pleased to celebrate two birthdays. Happy Birthday to Andrew and Sylvia!
