What are the Benefits of Live-In Care?
Our Live-in Care service enables you or your loved one to receive tailored, professional support 24-hours-a-day, in your own home. But let’s take one step at a time: what are the benefits of Live-In Care?
Not all elderly people want to go into a Care home – but perhaps they need more than someone just popping in a few times a day to help them.
I can speak from personal experience as over the last year my three siblings and I have had to organise increasing levels of Care for my mother in Bristol. She has a terminal brain tumour and her condition has deteriorated rapidly over the last 6 months. In that time, she has gone from having a few hours of Care per week to 24/7 Live-in Care.
Benefits of Live-In Care: It allows you to remain in your own home
My mother was very clear that she didn’t want to end up in a Care Home, therefore Live-in Care was the sensible option for us as a family. She has two wonderful Carers who rotate on a two-week on/two week off basis and this enables them to build a lovely friendship with my mother whilst being there exactly when she needs their support. Her needs differ from day to day but the Carers are on hand to deliver whatever Care is required.
It means having more freedom
Having Live-in Care has had a dramatic effect on both my mother’s life but also the family’s. We know that she is receiving the best possible Care but in the comfort and familiar surroundings of her own home. This has taken enormous pressure off me and my siblings and we are able to again spend quality time with her whilst we know that she is safe, secure and well looked after when we’re not there.
