Team Teach… Training the Trainers…

This week, our Behaviour Specialists – Kirsty and Charlotte, have been busy attending the Train the Trainer ‘Team Teach’ Training (try saying that fast!) this week. The course took place at Hillsborough Football Stadium in Sheffield, the home of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. (Very lucky for Kirsty as she is a Sheffield Wednesday fan!!)

Kirsty, our Case Leader and Behaviours that Challenge Champion, and Charlotte, our Clinical Lead and Registered Nurse have completed the full week on the ‘train the trainer’ course, which enables them to now deliver the course to our Support Workers.

The Team Teach positive behaviour training courses provide a holistic approach to managing behaviour for individuals and organisations working with children and adults, including within health and social care settings. The accredited, award-winning training helps our organisation to build strong relationships and transform challenging situations into positive outcomes. The Training will help our Support Workers to focus on teamwork and communication, to foster supportive working practices and to recognise the needs of distressed individuals.

This training will come especially handy in our organisation, and we can’t wait to be able to pass this training on to our brilliant Care and Support Workers.
