Supporting heartfelt community campaigns

Every spring, as shops fill with colourful displays of chocolate treats, South Yorkshire’s youth homeless charity, Roundabout, launches one of its most heartfelt community campaigns. This campaign is the Easter Egg Appeal.
This is more than just a seasonal tradition. It’s a reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference to young people facing homelessness in South Yorkshire.
This year, the charity has set a target of collecting 600 eggs. Here at Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield, we are delighted to have played our own little part by donating 50 eggs.
As an organisation supporting young people with complex needs in two of South Yorkshire’s largest communities, we are always seeking to give something back to the areas we serve every day. This is our own little way of saying thank you for the support we receive from the community.
A charity close to our hearts in Rotherham and Sheffield
Roundabout is a charity particularly close to our hearts. We see first-hand how important it is to give vulnerable young people moments of joy, stability and hope.
For many of the young people supported by Roundabout, life has been shaped by instability, uncertainty and difficult transitions. Something as simple as receiving an Easter egg — a treat many take for granted — can offer a moment of joy, normality and connection.

Please support this fantastic appeal
Roundabout’s staff often describe how these small gifts help young people feel seen and valued. An Easter egg might not change someone’s circumstances. However, it can brighten a challenging day and remind them that their community cares.
We certainly care and would encourage other organisations and members of the public to support this fantastic appeal if they are able to do so.
Even one egg donated is a moment of joy for a young person who might otherwise go without. It might seem small. But to a young person who’s had a tough year, it’s proof that someone in their community is thinking of them. That means more than the egg itself.
Eggs can be dropped off at the charity’s offices at 33 Rockingham Lane, Sheffield, S1 4FW.
