Our Welfare and Wellbeing Officer Jade held a coffee morning earlier this week in support of Stress Awareness Week. There will be several more of these over the next month to raise awareness around Stress and Anxiety.

There are many things that cause stress, it is a normal emotion in us all, but sometimes it can get out of control and become a mental health problem.

Lots of things can lead to feelings of stress or anxiety, including exam pressures, relationships, starting a new job (or losing one) or other big life events. We can also get anxious when it comes to things to do with money and not being able to meet our basic needs, like heating our home or buying food.

We are reaching out to our Support Workers and our Clients to make sure they know that their Mental Health and Wellbeing are at the fore front of our minds, and we are here and equipped to support people and signpost to other services if necessary.

Jade is ready to discuss any topics that anyone would like to. Most importantly, this will be done in confidence and the upmost respect given to anyone wishing to discuss anything with us. We understand that it can be difficult to talk and express our feelings, but we just want you all to know our door is always open and a friendly face will be here to greet you.
