Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield….. Regional Award Winners!
We’re extremely proud to receive a Regional Award at the Annual Caremark Conference! This year, the theme surrounded ‘Building a Winning Team’- and we couldn’t be prouder of the brilliant team we have here. Our staff are the foundation of everything we do, and this award is an accolade to them.
Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield were chosen to win this award for a number of reasons, primarily our fantastic team culture. We work hard to ensure our staff enjoy coming to work, and empower our team to be the best they possibly can. We all have the same shared commitment to providing outstanding care to our Children, Young People & Adults.
Our Support Workers are brilliant, highly trained individuals who provide an excellent standard of care to our clients. In 2023, our Support Work team completed upwards of 2900 hours in training, shadowing and internal touchpoints. The team have an exemplary understanding of complex and clinical needs due to this extensive training, which equips them to provide outstanding care.
We understand that investing in training is an investment in our people, and provide our team with ongoing opportunities to develop themselves professionally. Our Support Workers are passionate about their roles and are always keen to upskill. We consistently see a huge uptake when offering new training opportunities, and appreciate how committed our Support Workers are to their work with our clients.
Our Leadership and Management team share this commitment, and work closely with our Support Workers to ensure they are happy and equipped to deliver excellent care. It was recognised that members of our Leadership team have worked with us for over a decade! With a staff turnover rate of less than 5%, we are proud to have built a strong culture, in which our staff members feel valued and recognised for their hard work. It is paramount for us to provide opportunities for individuals to grow with the business, and our brilliant leadership progression paths were recognised as part of our award.
We were recognised for our outstanding compliance as part of our award. We have always recognised the significance of being fully compliant when providing care to our clients. We monitor our service extremely closely and regularly observe staff practice, as well as conducting quality assurance checks and clinical observations. Our client care plans are reviewed frequently, to ensure that all needs are consistently being met. We observe staff competencies and also provide regular ‘refresher’ training. Our compliance is rock-solid, to ensure our provision is to the highest possible standard.
It was a surreal moment to see our service photos on the screen at the award ceremony. We were proud to see our amazing clients and staff have a well-deserved moment in the spotlight. Thanks to them, we are able to continue providing brilliant support in the Sheffield and Rotherham community. We are extremely grateful to receive this year’s Regional Award, and would like to thank our amazing team for their dedication to our organisation. Without you, this would not be possible!
