A wellness room for staff and customers

A wellness room where staff and customers can spend time with therapy dogs is just one of the new additions to Caremark Redcar and Cleveland’s revamped head office.

And we were delighted to have our new-look office officially opened by Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland, Councillor Ceri Cawley.

We recently carried out an extensive refurbishment of our offices in Guisborough. We have taken over the entire building after the florist which was in part of the building retired. As a result, this part of the building has now been converted into a large training room for staff.

Fully refurbished rooms

Elsewhere, all the other rooms have been fully refurbished. Additionally, as well as space for office support staff, the company has also created new meeting rooms. There is even a special dog therapy room. This is where customers and staff can spend wellbeing time with the fully trained therapy dogs.

Pictures of staff, customers and the therapy dogs now also adorn the walls.

At the official opening, The Mayor was joined by staff, customers, therapy dogs and other local partners. There was also a visit from Mark, the company’s larger than life doggy mascot.

Room to grow

Caremark Redcar and Cleveland Managing Director Michelle Jackson said: “This refurbishment has helped us create a bright, welcoming space for our office team to work in. But it is also a much more inviting environment for everyone who visits us — whether that’s care staff, customers, local partners or our therapy dogs.”

“Taking over the whole building gives us room to grow. It means we can deliver more training, meetings and wellbeing support from one central base. Importantly, it reflects the pride we have in our team, our customers and the local community we are privileged to serve.”

Mayor, Cllr Ceri Cawley said: “It was a pleasure to open Caremark’s expanded and refurbished Main Office in Guisborough, and to meet the staff, customers and therapy dogs.  Animals are widely recognised for their therapeutic benefits, so it was wonderful to speak with those who care for and benefit from the dogs, as well as the dedicated Caremark team.”
