New Carer’s Attend Moving & Handling Training

Pache & Danielle from Caremark Mid Sussex & Crawley get to grips with Moving & Handling training. See how they got on and what the training involves

This week, Pache & Danielle were required to participate in Moving & Handling Training. They successfully carried out the training. See below what the training involves and how you can get involved:

The areas covered in this Moving & Handling training:

• Manual Handling (The Legal Aspects)
• The Body & What can go wrong during Manual Handling
• Principles of Safe Moving & Handling
• In House Policy & Assessments
• Practical Training Session

The practical training session covered the following:

• Client from the floor
• Client from chair to chair / toilet / commode
• Client movement in bed
• Client wheelchair to chair
• Client bathroom requirements
• Client general mobility
• Use of Hoist
