formal registration

We are pleased to announce that Katie Fowler has achieved her formal registration as our Care Manager.

Katie, who became manager in November 2024 after being promoted from her previous position as Senior Care Coordinator, recently underwent and passed her Registered Manager interview with our regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The interview is a key part of the registration process because it assessed Katie’s fitness to manage regulated care services. The focus was on verifying information from Katie’s application and demonstrating her knowledge, skills and commitment to providing excellent care, including how to ensure the safety, well-being and dignity of customers.

20 years’ experience

Katie joined Caremark Kirklees in 2021 but has nearly 20 years’ experience working in the care sector.

She said: “I have enjoyed working as Care Manager so to now have received formal recognition from the CQC is fantastic.

“We have a great team here at Caremark Kirklees and I am proud to be playing my part in delivering the high quality service we have become renowned for.”

Duncan Smith, Caremark Kirklees Managing Director, said: “Katie has been excellent since stepping up to the vital role of Care Manager and we are delighted that the CQC have recognised this following the formal process.

“We’ve always been keen to develop our staff and promote from within and Katie is a great example of someone who has worked hard to progress and is thoroughly deserving of this achievement.”
