A genuine passion for helping others

At just 18, Amy Dalowsky is already making a strong impression as an Apprentice Care Assistant at Caremark Doncaster. She has a genuine passion for helping others. With a thoughtful approach to care and ambitions to build a long-term career supporting people, Amy represents the compassion and commitment that sit at the heart of our team.
Amy’s interest in care was shaped by her own family experiences. Seeing her grandparents receive support showed her just how important high-quality care can be.
She explains, “Seeing the carers helping them and me being a person that wants to help people made me realise this was the right path for me.”
Before joining Caremark Doncaster, Amy studied criminology, health and social care, and sport at college. She recently sat her A-Levels in these subjects. Afterwards, she decided to move directly into hands-on work through an apprenticeship. This combines practical experience with continued learning at university. That balance of real-world care and professional development made the role a natural next step.

Made the right choice by choosing Caremark
Amy says she first came across Caremark while looking for care roles online. After only a few months, she is certain she made the right choice.
Starting any new care role can feel daunting, especially when visiting people in their own homes for the first time. However, Amy has embraced the challenge with confidence and maturity.
One of the things Amy values most is the preparation and reassurance she has received from the team.
Reflecting on her first experiences in the role, she says, “I think the training that I received set me up a lot for different circumstances that I might walk into.”
Amy has already seen how rewarding home care can be. Building relationships with customers and supporting people with a wide range of needs has strengthened her passion for the role. Her warmth, empathy and willingness to learn are helping her build trust with the people she supports every day.
Amy is relishing the experience
Looking ahead, Amy one day may pursue her long-held ambition of becoming a Social Worker. For now, she is relishing the experience she is getting at Caremark Doncaster.
She says, “I’d love to work for Caremark for as long as possible because I really enjoy it.”
Outside of work, Amy is a keen dancer who takes part in classes, shows and competitions.
We are proud to have Amy in our team. We look forward to supporting her as her career continues to grow.
