Community groups in Dartford & Gravesend given grants to support elderly members

Caremark Dartford & Gravesham have given their first community grant to a local friendship club that organises social events on a weekly basis for its elderly members within the Dartford and Gravesend area.
The friendship club run by a lovely husband a wife couple called ‘Jack and Rose’, allows members of the elderly community to socialise and be involved with activities run by the club. Loneliness can really effect the mental well-being of our elderly community members, so groups like these empower individuals to get out of the house and socialise with others. We presented Jack and Rose with a cheque on Tuesday 8th May and hope it helps to grow and encourage further activity amongst the club. Our next grant will be given in July and we are currently speaking to various groups that may require our support.
