Our Winter Halo Award goes to Cheryl..

You will recall that every quarter we ask our management team to each nominate an individual that they believe deserves to be recognised. We are looking for people who have impressed and made a real difference and demonstrated Caremark’s true values in supporting people.

We wish to shine a light on members of our team who are making an outstanding contribution to the life of other people.

Our Director Mark Mckenning said ‘I think all the individuals are worthy of their nomination, but Cheryl’s nomination stands out as I feel it speaks volumes about her professionalism in a difficult situation. She followed her training but equally remained calm in a very public environment- which is not easy, it seems to me that she embodied everything we ask of our staff and managed the situation in a very respectful, appropriate and dignified manner.

She obviously knows her customer and has their absolute welfare in the front of her mind, she then went on to communicate the situation to her customer’s parent, which was also essential to Mum, I understand this was delivered in a respectful, concise manner’

We have presented Cheryl with her initial Halo Award Winners Letter and after doing some digging, we found out that she loves to shop on Amazon, so for Cheryl’s overall Halo Award prize we have treat her to a £150 Amazon Gift Voucher. We have given Cheryl strict orders that she must treat herself to something nice for being such an amazing Support Worker as she DESERVES it!

Well done, Cheryl. This is a fabulous example of an experienced Support Worker providing responsive and effective support at a time customer of crisis.
