Mark successfully cycles across our capital once again
Lots of pain = lots of gain! Almost £1000 of funds raised….. Thank you everyone!!
Mark, our Managing Director, rode 100 miles in one day to attempt to raise money to support Sheffield Hospital Charity & the Sheffield Children’s Hospital- two fantastic organisation that need your help.
The Ride 100 took place on Sunday 28th May, The spectacular event saw cyclists of all backgrounds and abilities cover 100 miles on traffic-free roads through the heart of London and neighboring Essex. So far, the fundraising figure is at a whopping £890, with donations from Mark’s friends, family, business associates and work colleagues. The total funds raised will be split between two fantastic organisations in our local area- Sheffield and Rotherham.
One of these organisations is Sheffield Hospitals Charity, which will support the Teaching hospitals and make a huge difference for them. The other being Sheffield Children’s Hospital which is very close to home for us- given that we have and still do support many children in and out of the Children’s Hospital.
Mark said-
‘No pain, no gain’- yep! All done though- 102 miles in 5hrs and 19minutes, averaging at 19 mph. What a fantastic event- the iconic central London streets, completely vehicle free, great atmosphere (brilliant weather)- and all downhill (well, that last bit might have some poetic licence to it). I’d recommend this ride to anyone who’s interested in cycling and raising some cash for any great causes. A massive Thank You to everyone who donated but a special thank you to my buddy, Micky! We did the ride together and we had a great time! Thanks for all the encouragement, laughs and positivity mate! We’ve raised some cash for the Sheffield Hospital’s Charity & The Sheffield Children’s Hospital- the figure is currently £890, but I think there’s more coming in! We’re splitting the cash 50/50 between these two amazing organisations. Thank You!!!’
