Celebrations for a 100th birthday

Members of the Caremark Pulborough in-home care & Support team celebrate with the customer and her closest friends.

Mary (pictured), one of the many customers throughout the Pulborough and Horsham area who are cared for by Caremark, recently reached the epic milestone of 100 years old.

Members of the care team (also pictured), Marta, Helen and Kate presented Mary with a bouquet of flowers along with balloons and good wishes for this milestone. These diligent carers joined her at her local pub ‘The Crown’ with her closest friends to not only provide care as needed but to join in the celebrations.

What’s Mary’s story?

Mary, born in 1921, between World War 1 and World War 2 has so many amazing stories to tell from her life that spans the last 10 decades, such as World War 2, the shrinking of the British Empire, The Queen’s Coronation, the moon landings and most recently a Global Pandemic. Having always lived locally, she has so much in-depth knowledge and stories of the local area to share with her live-in carer Helen, respite carer Kate and Care Coordinator Marta.

During her long life, Mary owned her own business locally, a tea shop. She enjoys watching TV, sitting in her garden and visiting her favourite pub for a meal, not just for birthday celebrations.

Mary, like so many others throughout the area, receives a tailored care plan designed specifically for her needs.
