Caremark north herts and stevenage, iris court care home and hertfordshire police celebrate world kindness day

World Kindness Day, celebrated annually across the world on November 13th, encourages everyone to show greater kindness and compassion. This year, for the World Kindness Day in Hitchin, Caremark North Hertfordshire and Stevenage’s Marketing Manager, Sharon Stevens, was invited as a special guest to the Kindness Café at Iris Court in Hitchin. She was accompanied by her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Luca, the Ruby Cavalier, and Ripley, the Blenheim Cavalier, are natural therapy dogs with calm, gentle temperaments and endless affection. They make ideal companions for older people and those living with depression or disability. Their visit on this special day in Hitchin brought joy to residents, staff, and guests alike. They happily played with staff members. They also curled up on residents’ laps and posed for photos throughout the event.

The charm of the dogs also won over Police Community Support Officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary, Stuart Stone and Phoebe Taylor, who attended the event. Hitchin’s World Kindness Day was a time when they joined residents in games and made time to share plenty of cuddles with the dogs.

Kindness Is Not Just For A Day

Kindness isn’t something Caremark shows just once a year; for World Kindness Day, it’s at the heart of what we do every day. We are continuously involved in our communities, supporting clients by taking them to social activities such as slipper swaps, Christmas lunches, and sporting events. Through these meaningful moments, we help tackle loneliness and social isolation. This gives people the chance to connect, engage, and feel included.
