Caremark Supports the Christmas Community Lunch at The Woodman Inn
On December 16th, 2025, The Woodman Inn in Nuthampstead, Royston, opened its doors for a heartwarming festive gathering. The aim is simple, to build community and remove barriers to social isolation. Nutwood Pubs Ltd invited members of the community to this special lunch, including clients of Caremark North Hertfordshire and Stevenage.
The theme behind the event is building community and bringing down the barriers that can lead to social isolation. Barriers like transportation challenges and a sense of belonging, themes which resonates with Caremark North Herts and Stevenage, their work brings community together and actively breaks down these barriers.
Whether visitors came with family, friend of arrived alone, everyone was greeted with kindness. The Christmas Community Lunch at The Woodman Inn was all about connection, comfort, and joy, delivered with warmth and professionalism and heart.
A Delicious Festive Menu
The Woodman Inn’s kitchen crafted a classic Christmas menu with a modern touch. Turkey dinner was available to all, plus something for vegetarians too, all with traditional roasted winter vegetables, and puddings, all made with care and locally sourced seasonal ingredients where possible. Everything was made from scratch, even the gravy.

Although most of the guests had not met each other before, the event felt relaxed and inclusive. The staff at The Woodman Inn were warm and professional. Everyone turned up as strangers, but left as friends. Martin Prescott, Owner and Manager of Nutwood Pubs Ltd, including The Woodman Inn and two other pubs in the area, was there to greet all guests and keep the entertainment flowing.
After lunch, each guest received a special Christmas surprise: a gift chosen especially for them. Sharon Stevens, Marketing Manager at Caremark North Herts and Stevenage, said, ‘We are so pleased to be working alongside Martin and his team. They genuinely want to build a community where everyone feels welcome, like family. These values resonates with Caremark North Herts and Stevenage.’
