Promote from within

As part of our recruitment and retention strategy, Caremark Leeds Bradford is always seeking to promote from within and a great recent example of this is Keula Barros, who is now working as our Care Manager.

Keula joined our team as a Care Assistant in 2021 and quickly progressed through the ranks, gaining several promotions.

In January 2025, she became Care Manager having already achieved her NVQ Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care Management.

She now works closely with our Managing Director Farina Tayub and Operations Director Thameena Saleh overseeing the day-to-day running of Caremark Leeds Bradford and ensuring our customers received the highest standard of care from our staff.

Keula was inspired to enter a career in care after seeing how her father struggled when he became very ill and needed a kidney transplant.

“I saw how carers supported my father and I wanted to work in care to help people like him,” she explains.

“Caremark has allowed me to fulfil my ambition to work and progress my career in care.”
