Promoted from within

Caremark Kirklees has promoted from within for the key role of Registered Care Manager.
We have appointed Katie Fowler to lead our 120-strong team of carers who deliver care in peoples’ homes across the area.
The 46-year-old has been with the company since 2020, having initially joined as a Care Coordinator.
But with the past three years spent in a senior role at Caremark’s head office in Armitage Bridge and 18 years’ experience in care in total, Caremark Kirklees Directors Duncan and Fiona Smith decided Katie was more than ready for the next step in her career.
Katie says: “I have always had an ambition to become Care Manager and having achieved an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, I felt the time was right and am delighted to have now taken this next step in my career.
“Having been here for four years helps as I already have good relationships with the staff, so I am looking forward to making my contribution to the further development and growth of the company.”
As Registered Care Manager, Katie will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Caremark Kirklees, including ensuring the company meets its regulatory requirements.
“It’s about making sure we deliver person-centred care to all our customers, so they are happy with the service we provide,” adds Katie.
“And we have great carers who go the extra mile for our customers and make a real difference to their lives.”
Caremark Kirklees Managing Director Duncan Smith said: “We’re delighted to have been able to appoint Katie as our new Care Manager.
“We’re always keen to develop our staff and promote from within and Katie is a great example of someone who has worked hard to progress, and she thoroughly deserves her promotion.”
