Delivering presents

Caremark Kirklees is once again proud to support a local community initiative which involves delivering presents to over 2,000 people in our area.
We have been working with Santa’s Seniors since 2016 to help distribute presents which are donated by kind people in the Kirklees areas.
This year, 40 of our customers are receiving gifts, with our Care Assistants playing the role of Father Christmas when they visit for their regular homecare calls.
Each customer receives three presents each and among those receiving them this year are Sylvia, who said: “I am touched that Caremark selected me to receive a gift, it was a lovely surprise.”
Another customer Alice said: “I am looking forward to opening my presents on Christmas Day.”
And Daniel said: “It’s not something I was expecting, but what a lovely thing to do.”
Santa Seniors was set up by a mother (Suzanne Garraghan) and her two daughters (Amy and Lizzie) to collect, wrap and distribute gifts to old and vulnerable people who face spending Christmas alone.
The initiative has grown year on year and brings joy and happiness to so many people in our community.
Caremark Kirklees Director Fiona Smith, who has been helping to deliver some of the gifts, said: “Delivering the presents is always one of the highlights of the year and seeing the smiles on our customers’ faces when they receive them is priceless.
“Santa’s Seniors is an amazing initiative and as an organisation whose services are wholly centred around supporting people in our community, we are delighted to be associated with it.”
