5-star reviews
Eighteen 5-star reviews in 12 months have resulted in Caremark Kirklees being named as one of the top 20 recommended providers in the Yorkshire and Humber region – for the third consecutive year.
We have once again made the much sought-after list compiled by homecare.co.uk – the UK’s leading homecare reviews website.
The annual awards recognise 20 of the top-rated homecare providers in each region of the UK based on reviews from customers, families and friends.
In 2023/2024, every review submitted for Caremark Kirklees, which is run by husband and wife team Duncan and Fiona Smith, was a perfect one, giving the company a final review score of 10 out of 10.
Among those who left reviews in the 12-month qualifying period (1st June 2023 to 31st May 2024) are Jeremy Marks, a customer of Caremark Kirklees.
He said: “The carers are friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond. The office staff are the same and I feel Caremark as a whole is an excellent company.”
Joanne Sweeting, whose mum Anne, received care from Caremark, said: “The care my mum gets is fantastic. The carers are amazing, make my mum feel at ease and always have conversations with her which she absolutely loves.”
Another customer, Mary Kennedy, said: “They are very helpful, especially in the mornings when I am not too well. Meals are prepared for me, as I am unable to do these myself due to balance and faintness problems. All staff are pleasant and efficient.”
As part of the awards, people are asked to rate companies from very poor to excellent in six key areas – overall standard of care, staff, management, care and support, dignity, and value for money.
Each review is then verified before a score is applied to give a provider a rating out of ten.
Caremark Kirklees Director Fiona Smith said: “We are delighted to have once again achieved this award, which is so special because it is based purely on the reviews of the people we provide care for across Kirklees.
“It demonstrates the amazing job our Care Assistants do, day in and day out, to help people remain living as independently as possible in their own homes.
“We have an excellent relationship with our customers and their families, and we would like to thank them for their continued support over the last 12 months.”
In addition to providing care at home, in 2023 Caremark Kirklees also launched a monthly Coffee Club for its customers, family, and friends in Honley. The aim was to bring people together in one room for free refreshments and cake, with a view to encouraging social interaction, particularly for Caremark customers who live on their own. It’s also a way of bringing families together so they can meet the carers who look after their loved ones on a daily basis.
Caremark Coffee Club has been so successful that it is now about to be moved to a larger venue at Sandy Mount in Crosland Moor in order to accommodate more people.
