Children’s Community Support Worker
About the Role:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Children’s Community Support Worker‘s to join our Caremark team in Rotherham & Sheffield. We provide one-to-one and two-to -one support for children and young people living within the community.
As a Community Support Worker, you will be supporting our clients within an educational setting, within the home and the community.
This role requires someone who can drive and has access to a vehicle, as you will be supporting clients across various locations and supporting them to access the community. You will play a key role in promoting emotional well-being, independence, and engagement in daily activities.
We support clients during the day in block hours from 4-12 hours at any one time. We also provide support during the night depending on the need of our client.
This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1 – it is an occupational requirement due to our client’s preference that the post-holder is female.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people in their homes and community settings
- Promote engagement in social, recreational, and educational activities
- Develop positive, trusting relationships with children, families and healthcare professionals
- Support care plans in collaboration with other professionals
- Maintain accurate records and complete reports as required
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
- Experience supporting children and young people, ideally in a community or social care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A sensitive and empathetic approach
- Be punctual and reliable
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential as Caremark provides all training requirements for the role)
